Notre Dame Historical Records

Notre Dame’s first year of hockey was in 1912. The university didn’t field a hockey team again until 1919. Hockey lasted for another eight seasons until the team was disbanded for a second time. Notre Dame started up their hockey program for the third time in 1968. Since that time, the program has participated in the highest collegiate level except for the 1983-84 season when the Irish moved to Club status for one year.
